Local: Potential Cyclone nears Samar
Flash floods and Landslide Threatens Visayas and Mindanao
Pagasa state that there will be a threaten landslides and flashflood in some parts of Visayas and Mindanao because of the potential cyclone that moved closer to Eastern Samar this early Friday.
Elvie Enriquez, a PAGASA forecaster stated that "as of 4a.m., the cyclone or the LPA was seen estimated 460 km east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.
This will bring rain, even though it is not yet heavy to different part of Eastern Samar. She also added on her radio interview "Ito bigyan natin ng 50-50 chance maging bagyong tropikal" (Let's give it a 50-50 chance that it will become a tropical storm"
Enriquez also said that the LPA may cause the southwest monsoon to affect the country and the start the rainy season.
If the LPA intensify into a cyclone, the codename will be DANTE.

As of Friday, 5 a.m., PAGASA's bulletin announced that the LPA is embedded along the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ), that affects different parts of Bicol, Visayas and Mindanao.
It says that "Eastern Visayas, northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flash floods and landslides,".
"Cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms will be experiencing in Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao".
"Partly cloudy to cludy with isolated rainshoers mostly in the afternoon or evening in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and a moderate light winds from southeast will prevail over norther Luzon and coming from the southeast to south over the rest of country.
